Play button
These geode nails are magical. And this stunning crystallized look is easier than you’d think! We love the rainbow energy of showcasing different colors on each nail, but you can choose one favorite color for a simpler look. Minerals never looked so good!
PRO TIP: Make sure you thoroughly prep nails to ensure adhesion & long-lasting wear! Push back cuticles, create a rough texture on the nail plate by filing, and sanitize thoroughly.

You'll want to use jelly powders for these transparent overlays - keep an eye out because we're launching them soon!

Step 1
  • Apply a thin coat of Step 1 Bond and allow it to dry completely.
Step 2
  • Apply a thin coat of Step 2 Base and immediately dip fingernail into Base & Finish powder.
  • Tap finger to remove loose powder. Use a fluffy brush to sweep off any excess.
Step 3
  • Apply a thin coat of Step 2 Base to most of the nail, but leave a small “blank spot”. Immediately dip fingernail into Jelly color of choice, here we are using JL-04.

PRO TIP: Avoid getting the product onto cuticles, powder will pick up wherever Base is applied.

Step 4
  • Carefully add a few drops of Step 2 Base onto a small piece of foil.
  • Using a pointed tool, such as a toothpick, to create a jagged outline along the edge of ⅔ of the nail. Then use a scoop to pour CL-64 over the nail.
Step 5
  • Add more Step 2 Base to the foil. Using a toothpick, apply base around the edges of the “blank space”.
  • Use a scoop to pour GL-12 over the wet Step 2 Base. Tap finger to remove loose powder, then use a fluffy brush to sweep off excess powder.
Step 6
  • Add Base & Finish powder to a shallow tray. Use a scoop to scatter a bit of JL-04, CL-33 and French White over the Base & Finish Powder. Lightly swirl the colors with a thin tool.
Step 7
  • Apply another coat of Step 2 Base over the area already dipped in JL-04.
  • Carefully lay fingernail flat into the powder mix.

PRO TIP: Brushes may harden or pick up color powder during application. Simply switch them between Brush Softener for easy cleaning & workability.

Step 8
  • Apply Step 2 Base to the “blank space” and immediately pour Base & Finish powder over it. Tap finger to remove loose powder, and use a fluffy brush to sweep off any excess.
Step 9
  • Repeat steps 11-14 for additional coverage.
  • Apply another coat of Step 2 Base to the entire nail and immediately dip fingernail into Base & Finish powder.
Step 10
  • Apply a coat of Step 3 Activator. Allow 3-5 minutes for powder to completely harden.

PRO TIP: If you live in a humid climate, you may need to increase your dry time.

Step 11
  • File and buff nails to achieve desired shape and smoothness.
Step 12
  • Wash hands or use a lint-free wipe saturated in alcohol to wipe the nails clean.

PRO TIP: Make sure nails are completely dry before moving to the next step!

Step 13
  • Apply a thin coat of Step 4 Sealer and allow 2-3 minutes for nails to dry.

PRO TIP: In this step, you can also substitute Sealer for Step 2 Base!

Step 14
  • Apply a second coat of Step 3 Activator to the entire nail. Allow 5 minutes for nails to dry.

PRO TIP: If you live in a humid climate, you may need to increase your dry time.

Step 15
  • Use a dry lint-free wipe to remove any excess activator from the nail surface.
Step 16
  • Apply a coat of Step 4 Sealer in thin, quick strokes. Allow nails to dry for 2-3 minutes.
Step 17
  • Apply a final coat of Step 4 Sealer. Allow 3-5 minutes for nails to dry completely.

PRO TIP: Don't apply more than 2 consecutive coats of Sealer as this will prevent even drying & may result in a gummy mani.
